I wanted to take the opportunity to share my experience. Unlike most, maybe, I’m reviewing even though I decided not to have Precision Garage Door to perform work at this time. I came to this decision strictly from a personal financial standpoint and not because of anything negative about Precision Garage Door. Cameron was the tech that provided an estimate. Friendly guy, professional and obviously very knowledgeable. I also spoke with Suzanne. I found her to be equally professional, customer service oriented and very informative. Again, I know this isn’t the typical review but positive interactions and great customer service deserves mention. Thank you!

What a great experience! My door broke on Saturday, I called Precision on Sunday and my door was fixed by Monday mid-afternoon. Can't say enough good things about Max. He was friendly, honest, protected me/my surroundings, explained everything thoroughly, arrived early and finished ahead of schedule. Precision was recommended to me by a neighborhood friend who was very pleased with Precision's services. I was interested in a completely new installation to replace what I had had for 25 years with two new insulated doors, new tracks and two LiftMaster openers with some special features to include high-lifting on one of the new doors to allow for future garage modifications. Precision gave me the exact configuration I wanted and carefully planned to ensure that the configuration allowed for my future plans without having to revise anything they installed. I could not be more pleased! The new doors look great, work perfectly, are incredibly quiet and have all the modern features such as safety devices, Internet connectivity, an iPhone app for status and control, and automatic lighting. All throughout the installation, Patrick kept me informed on progress and conferred with me whenever a choice had to be made. He is an outstanding technician and a great gentleman. Go with Precision, you will not be disappointed.

We had another terrific experience with Precision. Early on a Saturday morning, we discovered our 20 year old garage door would not open. A closer examination revealed the door spring had failed. Within 3 hours of calling the service number, Kevin, a 20 year garage door veteran, was at our home. He quickly diagnosed the failure, offered various options, and in 90 minutes had replaced the failed spring mechanism and other failing hinges. I cannot think how emergency service could have been better. Very impressive.

Excellent service was provided by Matt and Brett today. They came within the promised arrival time after calling ahead to warn of their arrival and were exceedingly polite, precise and careful in all their repairs. They obviously take great pride in their work. They replaced the springs and did a full servicing job that resulted in an extremely quiet garage door function. Will gladly recommend this service.

First let me make it clear that this review is about the company's policies and business practices, not the installer. The installer was fine, but the company he works for is dishonest. I called them, and they gave me a quote. The phone-quote for the new spring was 2-times as much as the same spring from online retailers, plus they add an $89 service fee just to show up. Not great, but if I wanted to do it myself it would take days to deliver a new spring. I didn't want to wait that long, so I thought "$180 is about 3-times what it would cost to do myself, but at least it will be fixed the next day". I was wrong. The total price ended up being almost $350 to replace just one spring (it's a single door) and cable. That's 6-times as much as it would cost to do myself! If the company had been honest about their astronomical spring markups when I made the appointment, that would be one thing but they weren't honest at all. The phone price was completely unrealistic. Lesson learned: Order a spring from on online retailer for $50-$60 BEFORE it breaks, set it aside for the day the old spring breaks, and when that day comes save yourself $300!

The $85 "service visit fee" was clearly designed to sell me a new garage door opener and not diagnose the problem with the current opener. The rep asked how hold the unit was and he then quickly started typing up a quote for a new opener. He didn't even open the cover of the unit to begin to diagnose the problem. Simply, he said, I need a new opener at $800 and new rollers. The $85 visit fee was a rip-off.

Absolutely fantastic. Being able to come out on Saturday without an extra charge is a HUGE deal to someone like me who works full time and lives by herself. Additionally, the tech went above and beyond to try and fix the problem, and when it was clear that really just was not possible, worked his hardest to get me a reasonably-priced new door that looked the way I wanted it to. Would recommend in a heartbeat.
