Sunday afternoon and my garage door remote was no longer working. I called Precision Garage door with low hopes of having anyone come out and with every expectation of paying a premium for Sunday service. Well, I was wrong on both counts - the service was excellent and Matt - who was awesome and extremely professional - showed up quickly and didn't charge me at all! He pointed out that painters we had earlier in the week accidentally "locked" the garage door. He was only here for 10 minutes or so, but he left a strong positive impression - would definitely call Precision Garage door again!

Do not have parts
Mr. Shyamala, We’re sorry to hear your disappointment with your appointment and the Precision experience. This is contrary to what we seek to do each and every day. Please know, we did have the parts on the truck to fix your garage door. As the technician explained, you have a Wayne Dalton door with the torquemaster system. The torquemaster has particular components that cannot be repaired. It must be replaced. We offered to take an obsolete system and convert it to a system that has been around since the beginning of the overhead garage door and can be worked on by any garage door company. Also with a torsion mechanical lift system, when something breaks, a part can replaced for the repair, rather having to replace the entire system. It’s simply a better solution. I called for an appointment late in the afternoon and was able to schedule a visit for the next day to diagnose and repair a problem I had with the door. At first we could not reproduce the random problem with the door but just after the technician left I was able to reproduce the random problem and a quick call to the technician brought him back in a few minutes to correct the problem once we had been able to confirm the diagnosis. Kevin was courteous and knowledgeable and had the needed parts to make an immediate repair to the garage door opener .

Matt did a stellar job and was meticulous, explaining what he was doing (and why); very impressive. If you're worried about hiring someone to care for your garage door, worry no more. Our spring had snapped but all the other components were builder's grade and the installers cut some corners, which didn't save us a dime. Our door is now significantly upgraded and whisper quiet. Bravo for coming out on such short notice, too!

I've had Precision come out twice to fix the garage door or the openers. Both times the receptionist who booked me was very polite and professional. Kevin was the technician who came out. I got both garage doors replaced. The technician was fantastic and exceptionally well organized. His advice was honest and fair. As a result of the fine work he did, my next door neighbor asked him to replace their doors. I chose Precision not because it was the cheapest or the most expensive. Door was noisy and jerky and would not close withour multiple attempts. Technician (Matt) installed new bottom seal, door rollers, and belt drive opener. Now door is so smooth and quiet, sometimes I open and close it for no reason other than just to listen to it. I don't know how the price compares to others but the service was excellent. You get what you pay for.
